1st May 2013 Driver Coaching Day at Oulton Park

Wednesday 1st May saw me at Oulton Park to meet with Nick Mountfield and his son Sam. Nick is making his circuit debut this season racing a historic Triumph TR4  and is having his first race at Oulton on 11th May. We spent the day concentrating on lines, vehicle positioning and trying to build up Nick’s confidence. Had a great day and the Triumph ran like a dream, in fact the only problem was when the gear lever knob came off in Nick’s hand !! I managed to take out Sam for a couple of sessions building up his confidence & consistency to readiness for his ARDS test.  Wishing Nick all the best for his first race & look forward to an update soon.
