Sunday 21st July and I was at Oulton Park for a Toyota day promoting their latest sports car the GT86. Went out with loads of different people from technicians to Dealer Principles and current customers as well. Here’s my drive for the day, in the only colour for this type of car….

After an amazing few days at Spa, back to reality and another day for BookaTrack this time back at their “home” circuit of Donington. Another busy day for me in Caterhams again looking after a corporate group with ex-Touring car racer Paul O’Neil in charge there was never a dull moment!

just the name of Spa evokes many memories. i was lucky enough to get on a 2 day track day for BookaTrack at this amazing circuit. the names of Eau Rouge and Blanchimont are just 2 of the fantastic corners that go to make up this incredible circuit. spent most of my time in Caterhams but managed to watch some action on track as well, including watching this ex-Le Mans Porsche going round. wow doesn’t even come close…!

Another very warm day at Oulton, lots of on track instruction and one ARDS test completed. All great fun, didn’t get to have a drive of this, but spotted it in the paddock: what a beauty!

A busy week was rounded off with a day at Oulton Park’s popular race school. Today, I was driving the JPLM race car giving customers high speed passenger rides around the circuit. Very hot weather again and , I think, nearly nearly 30 customers for me, that’s nearly 80 laps!! Gulp!!

The day after Anglesey and I was back to Donington for yet another busy track day for BookaTrack. Incredible weather yet again, lots of work in Caterhams. Amazing views when you’re driving around the back of the circuit and you have passenger jets taking off from the East Midlands Airport next door!

Having just got back from the British Grand Prix, just managed to squeeze in a short break with my lovely partner Elaine. Only down to Porthmadoc in Wales mind you as I had to get over to Anglesey on our way home for a corporate day for BookaTrack at Anglesey circuit all in aid of a 30th birthday party: awesome!! Great day, lovely weather and even Elaine managed to top up her tan !

having a full weekend off is rare but having a full weekend off and being able to watch a Grand Prix in person is even rarer! well, this I managed to do, myself, my 2 sons Alex & Christopher with  my nephew Tom all travelled down to Silverstone early Saturday morning to camp over and watch the British Grand Prix. really amazing weather and the atmosphere was outstanding to hear the roar of the crowd as Lewis Hamilton began his …

We spent a day at Oulton testing in some very trying conditions. This was the first time we’d been out since Dave Billington had his unfortunate off which badly damaged 2 corners. Despite being very wet, Dave drove really well. We had one minor excursion in the morning which removed the nosecone but no damage was done. week beginning the 16th June was a hectic week: started off at a BookaTrack day at Anglesey then to a track day at Oulton Park for an MSVR track day and then at the end of the week over to Donington for yet another BookaTrack day. Met loads of new people and was taken around the circuits in lots of different cars. Started off in a 130,000 mile Honda Integra that had just driven back from the Monaco GP ! …
